5 Things I hate about Today
1. Well, its March 28th and its snowing. It just seems so depressing today.
2. Everyone thinks that since it's snowing then its a good day to sit around the house and do nothing. But in my opinion, since it's snowing it's a good day to sit around and make some fun out of this depressing day of snow and slush. play some cards, make cookies... SOMETHING!
3. Since it's so nasty outside, it seems to be a good chick flick movie day, but in the Bryan home, it seems to be a good action movie day... I need to laugh! No action! Chick flicks!! NOW!
4. It's sooo cold! I hate cold weather! It's even worse today, only because there's snow on the ground! I've been dreaming of a wonderful spring all winter, and now that it's here... I just keep dreaming even harder! "I'm dreaming of a place, With flowers in my face". - me making up my own song...
5. I'm running out of cheery songs to sing.

I've always hated Oklahoma. Only because of the random weather changes we have. It can go from a beautiful 80 degree day to a nasty 20 degree snow fall. It's almost April! I'm not supposed to wake up to snow outside my window. That's just not right. So, needless to say.. I OFFICIALLY HATE SNOW!

Been grounded....
As you might have noticed I havent blogged in a few MONTHS... yes... I have been grounded... stupid grades. As I was sitting here talking to my mom, we were talking about how, my aunt, Angie, probably keeps up with me when I am grounded. Knowing that she is probably the only other person who reads my blog, besides my Dad and Sister... Im sure she miss's me! oh so very much!... haha :) Did you miss me?

Christmas fun, random thoughts, and...Jesus??
Yesterday we went over to some friends house to make gingerbread houses, and decorate cookies. As I was building my gingerbread house, I had a random thought... What would Jesus' house look like if he was building a gingerbread house?? What would His house look like in real life?? I imagined a perfect house... even nicer than the ones that you see in contests and stuff. I imagined a small cozy house much like the one in the book The Shack. With flowers, and warm cozy fires, and Him inside baking goods, and waiting to show us His love. Then other random thoughts came to mind... would Jesus have a huge mansion much like that ones that the Bible says that we'll have when we go to heaven? Does Jesus even need a house?? hhmmm.. So many questions to ask Him. :)

Toby Mac Concert
Oh, wow, what a night!! hmm.. where to start... Well first of all Monika surprised me with four tickets to the Toby Mac Winter Wonder Slam Tour on December 13. I had been wanting to go to this concert since I heard about it! I wanted to go soo bad, but it was really expensive. So that wonderful sister of mine came into my room one night and handed me an envelope... ah man was I excited!! December 13th finally arrived, My mom told me that my youthpastor had backstage passese and wanted to know if I want to go with him... So, Eleven of us piled in the church van and headed to the Mabee Center for the Meet and Greet with Toby Mac. All my friends kept making fun of me 'cause I was in awe of Toby when I saw him! We saw him in the hall before we went into the area where Toby was supposed to be and I spotted a guy, and he looked just like him, and I kept staring at him... And of course I was right.:) It was Toby. I looked at Logan and I was like "Umm, thats him guys!!" hehe. When the concert finally started Courtney and I ended up on the seond row. Ah! It was amazing!! That night pretty much mad entire year... hmm.. maybe not... but it was pretty stinkin' AMAZING!!!:)

Washington?
There's this girl, Madison, in my class that is gulable beyond belief. As we were sitting in History class today my friend Angel and I were talking about how Madison believes everything that we say to her. So Angel goes off and says, "Oh! Madison! Kristin's moving to Washington! Did I tell you that? I just found out this morning", and of course, Madison believes her. At first she thought we were joking, but then she realized that were really being serious, and that I really was moving to Washington. So I went on and told her that I found out last week during Thanksgiving break, and that we were moving because of my dads job, and that we only had three more weeks together. At that point she was freaking out, and wasnt really sure what to believe... So we were talking about it all through that hour, and it got around the entire class, and I ended up having a ton of people coming up to me after school and asking me, " Is the whole Washington thing true?"
But as the day went on, I was feeling bad for everyone that thought that I really was moving to Washington, so I had to tell everyone that I wasnt really and that it was all a joke. But, hey, it was stinkin' fun!

...Told you it would be blinding...
Every year I count down the days unitl im allowed to put my first stran of lights on the house. This year was a little different because I've been so busy with school and basketball, so it took me a little longer to put ALL of them up. Thanksgiving Day is the first day that im allowed to turn them all on. You should have seen me on thanksgiving day. I was litteraly counting down the hours and minutes until I got to turn them on. For some strange reason I never got on the roof this year...dad did the C7'S(the large bulbed lights on the roof).
The Bryan household is known as the "house with all the stinkin' lights" when we're giving directions to our house during the holidays. : )

Doing Hard Things...
-Why do we do nothing?
1) We’re not as good at something as someone else we know.
2) We don’t have all the resources we think we need.
3) We figure that the chances of failing and looking like losers are too high.
- What we’re really saying is:
1) God only uses the best and the brightest.
2) He only us when every last thing is in place.
3) He only brings glory to Himself when we… bring glory to ourselves too.
- Fear is the fence that keeps us stuck in our comfort zones. We often feel fear for a reason: Often something “is” outside that should make us afraid. The problem is when we just sit there. We wait. And we wait. We’re waiting to stop felling afraid before we attempt anything. We often are too afraid to try something new because of past experiences. We don’t want to embarrass ourselves again…
- Overcoming our fears doesn’t require that we stop caring about what happens, it requires that we act in spite of our fears.
- God expects us to:
1) Do what’s hard for you.
2) Be known for what you do. ( More than for what you don’t)
3) Pursue excellence, not excuses.
- We often get praise for things that weren’t particularly hard to achieve. If we focus in the props and that encouragement of others who have low expectations for us, we become mediocre.
- It can be challenging to set our sights on excellence, particularly when we’re hearing that we’re already there.
- We get so caught up in being that Godliest person in our youth groups or in earning “the celebration of excellence for leadership” award that we lose sight of Gods standards, we fall short of our true potential, because we aimed only to big. Bigger than the next fish in our small pond.

In the same way, let you light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

Colorado
This summer I went to colorado with my youth group. We were in Como, CO. with a bunch of other church's. It was crazy fun! The mountains were amazingly beautiful, along with the stars that felt like you could reach up and grab one, becsue of how stinkin' close they were.
